Delo + Rainbow | Walk in the Park

    Rainbow's journey to who she is now has been an... interesting one. As a character, I mean. She's gone through a few different species, different outfits, haircuts, friends... her entire life has changed many times over. And when getting to this version of her as a character, I couldn't help but imaging some of those changes having a bit more of an impact than just how she dressed. I imagine she's become aware, to some extent, of those changes. They are like half-remembered dreams to her, where maybe she was once a cat... but that's just silly because she's not. But she can't deny that she does see changes happening around her. Things change, but she's not entirely sure she's meant to see that change.
    Her 4th Wall Awareness causes Rainbow quite a bit of stress everyday. It's pretty scary to suddenly see darkness overrun your entire world for seemingly no reason. It has to be a dream, a trick of the light, a hallucination, anything but reality. If this was real, if the world existed only in boxes and the faces she saw on the other side of the wall were real... she simply can't accept that. It's too crazy.
    Thankfully, she has a great support system with her friends and coworkers. They all know just how much she struggles with these "episodes", as she calls them. Everyone, even Delo, the newest member of their little group, has learned that the best way to calm her down is to simply be there. Pull her back to reality, point out how bright the sun is, how silly that hat looks, or how solid her surroundings are. How real her world is.
    There's nothing she can do about this "gift" - it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon, but she also is still too afraid to confront it directly. So for now, she manages, spends time with people, real people, and looks for reminders everywhere that she and her world are real. That the outlines and faces she sees are tricks of her mind that may never go away but certainly can't control her life.

As you can see, I'm kind of a dick to my own characters. But ya know... character development and whatnot lol
I don't really intent to put any words in here, and y'all can come up with your own interpretations of what's bein' said if you want. The main thing is that Rainbow's kinda disturbed by her own power and doesn't know how to deal with it. Her friends can help, but it never really goes away.
